Requirements for Office Volunteers:
Three month minimum commitment required.
Minimum of 6 hours per week.
Basic computer skills are required.
Volunteers must be able to work from our office in downtown San Francisco, CA. (Exceptions can be made for data-entry volunteers)
Volunteering with Death Penalty Focus is a great opportunity to gain experience working for a non-profit organization. We do not provide compensation, but may provide letters of recommendation.
Responsibilities:
Tasks are dependent on the volunteer's time commitment and experience, but may include:
Data entry
Graphic design
Tabling at events
Phone calling (this is outreach, not soliciting)
Research
Photocopying/ Envelope Stuffing/ Filing
Errands (post office, office supplies, etc.)
Writing/Editing
Public Speaking
Website (basic knowledge of websites required)
Fundraising (event planning, donor outreach)
Photography
Translating written materials into Spanish
Web-based outreach (blogging, social networking, etc.)
Creating YouTube videos
