In 2007, DPF joined with several organizations to form the Alameda County Coalition for Alternatives the Death Penalty (ACCADP). The goal of this effort is to bring together a broad spectrum of community leaders and organizations in Alameda County to begin working on a strategy to end the use of the death penalty in Alameda County, and to shift resources to more effective public safety measures such as violence prevention and re-entry programs. Today, County Coalitions have formed in four California Counties.
