Garland Allen is the former Chicago Market Leader of the state and local tax consulting practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and before that was a tax partner in the Chicago law firm of Hopkins & Sutter (now Foley & Lardner).A graduate of the University of Virginia Law School, Northwestern University (B.A. Comparative Literature) and the Defense Language Institute (Persian), since 2004 Gar has served on the board and as treasurer of DPF.Gar currently conducts a solo state tax law practice in Santa Monica, California, where he lives with his wife, Farrokh, and is a member of All Saints Episcopal Church (Beverly Hills).
